At this point, you can unroll it by hand, you will just need to make sure that you flip back the latch first and then unroll by hand and that cord should pop out and you will be good to go.

The strap on my carefree Colorado is wrapped up in the retracted awning. How do I open the awning as i can't get the awning to unlatch at the top?
