The dimensions for the 40172 vent cover are 16.2" L x 15.5" W x 3.4" H. It fits 14x14 inch vents and is compatible with pre-1994 Elixir models. Unfortunately we do not have a photo of how it gets attached, but the hinge should just slide on and you will use the existing hinge pin for installation.
