This should not overcharge the towed vehicles battery as it provides a light trickle charge just to keep the battery from dying while being towed. The towed vehicle is not turned on all the way when being towed, just on enough to run the lights. Because the vehicle is not turned on all the way, the battery isn't being charged by the alternator. This BrakeBuddy 39332 will maintain the battery just enough to support the brake lights and turn signals.
