Yes you could use gas springs on a Murphy bed. It would depend on how you have it mounted as to what brackets you would want to use. I have linked all of them below. Generally the BR-1020 would be used on the sides and then you could use the angle in or out. It just depends on how you need to mount them.

I’m always surprised Murphy beds aren’t more popular. I have mine from https://van2b.com/ in my Ford Transit and I love it.
But I know that a common complaint of the Murphy bed is that it can get annoying putting it up and putting it down every morning/night.
A tiny van is absolutely screaming out for some convertible furniture solutions. It's tricky to even hide a Murphy bed without using up quite a lot of space but it sure is better than having a giant platform bed taking up 80% of the floor space, 24/7.
