When Surge Guard 41260 is plugged into shore power and I add load the power is good for 10 min then drops out.

It sounds like the solenoid is shot on the 41260 automatic transfer switch. Unfortunately there are no replacement parts for this model, you would need to replace the unit. If you are looking to check out other brands below is a link to the ones we carry. Many of our customers have had good success with the relay based model, linked below.
