I reached out to my contact at Equal-i-zer and they assured me that the shank is rated at 1,400lb regardless of which hole you drop down to.

I need to drop my 1000 lb Equal-i-zer hitch 4 to 6 inches. Would the EQ90-02-4900 Shank be rated at 1000 pounds in the bottom holes?
