I see nowhere in the instructions about interfacing the extisting brake control wires to the sway command uint.

This would depend if the unit has been prepped to use this or not. If the unit has been prepped, it would plug into the main harness. If the unit has not been prepped for this, you will need to follow these instructions to prep it, --> https://www.rvupgradestore.com/v/vspf...
