The L100 Hatch Lock is not designed to be taken apart. When installing into the hatch, you need to insert at an angle and pull the lock through – being careful to have the cam pointing in the correct position so that it will operate correctly. The cam should be pointing up with the CH751 imprint on the right – so that the cam will turn to the left. There are two small black “clips” on the cylinder (at each end of the keyhole position that will contract when the lock is pushed through the lock hole of the hatch. These will keep the lock in place once the lock is pushed through. If necessary, the lock can be removed – pushing it in reverse (it may take a bit of force and “wiggling”).
