i purchased a Star Lights 016-SL5100 light strip. I hooked it up and it only glows "blue"?

It should change colors as you press the various color buttons, it sounds like it is a different issue. I ran into a similar problem and it sounds like the connection between the LED strips and the controller is either not making full contact or possibly connected in reverse. Meaning flip one of the connectors and re-plug in. Also, if the strip is bent or twisted to much it can cause this to occur. And finally, if you cut the strip ensure that it is in the right spot, there are lines marking the correct place to cut the strip.

Answer: Yes you can add up to two strips. If you add more than you can burn out the controller
