Can't find an Encoder in my RV. Fault code in my Part

I have an intermittent problem in my Dual Motor Synchronous Velocity Slide Controller. Blinks indicate that I have a Wall Power Short to Ground. in Motor 1. Further it states that power to ENCODER has been shorted to Ground. Is the Encoder a part, and if so where might I look? Slide still works well and code does not happen except occasionally. I have a 2017 Thor Axis. Thor refers me to my dealer who is a long distant away.

Usually the error code you are getting is a result of a bad motor or wire harness from the controller to the motor. This error can also happen if the battery voltage drops below 12 volts directly from the battery. if this issue is only happening once in a while i would look at the wire harness possibly getting pinched during slide movement, or a wire is being pulled on the motor.
