Can this heat kit work in conjunction with a propane heater? I have this controller: Coleman Mach 9630-3361

I have a 48000 series Mach 3, with the Coleman Mach 9630-3361 wall thermostat (currently wired to propane heater). How can I swap between this and the propane heater?

Yes because the furnace doesn’t go to the control box. It runs directly to the wires in the back of the tstat. Basically the propane and heat strip will work together to get up to the set temp. Then when it drops within approximately 2 degrees it will just use the heat strip to maintain temp.

I would need to know the exact model # and ceiling assembly # to suggest a thermostat.

It looks like some of the coleman tstats will allow for gas vs. elect heat separately. Which tstat would you recommend in this application?
