Yes you are correct, there is not enough current to power the Jack through the trailer plug.
The QT8K-16 tongue jack says it can't be powered through the trailer plug. is that a current capacity thing?
Id hard wire the jack to a battery, but that battery can be wired to be charged off the 12+ volt black wire from the trailer harness correct?
