The diodes allows power to flow in 1 direction only and blocks voltage from going back into the normal system. You should not have any issue using the diode wiring kit.
My '17 RAM 1500 is configured to tow without disconnecting the battery. Any potential issues using this diode kit? Blue Ox BX8848 4 Diode Taillight Wiring Kit Toad Wiring Kits
I electronically disconnected the steering-lock so the battery does NOT need to be disconnected to tow. I used this 4-diode kit on my '13 Dakota, but with the vehicle battery disconnected. Wondering what trouble I can get into using the same kit with my '17 RAM with the vehicle battery connected, but the ignition "off"?? Thanks!
