Yes you don’t need a room sensor in the zone the RV thermostat will be in.
Is the thermostat the front sensor? We have looked everywhere and can not find one in the front of the coach? Coleman Mach 8330D3351 Zone Control 8-Series 4 Stage Digital RV Thermostat - White rv thermostats
In the past week the front heat and AC has not been turning on and shutting off when the temp reaches where it is set. It just started doing this and has worked fine since we installed it a little over 4 years ago.

Question: Can the 7330g3351 be used in place of the 8330d3351 when its a single roof top a/c and a single gas furnace?
Answer: No, the 8330D3351 is a unique thermostat. I would recommend staying with it, but you could change the tstat, control box in the ceiling and run new wires if you wanted to change to the 7330G3351.
