The Thetford 42037 was discontinued. The difference between the two is the 42037 is for use with Aqua-Magic Style II toilets built before May 2015 and the 42179 is for use with Aqua-Magic Style II toilets built after May 2015.

According to the manufacturer the only difference between the two are the seat and cover were changed.
