Our suggestion depends on what kind of trailer you have. If you just have a cargo trailer you could possibly use a double stick tape with a vent kit linked below. This is just to give it a good seal and keep the water out. If you have a travel trailer or 5th wheel then you may want to put in a vent first like the one linked below, so you have a flange for protection if water were to leak in. Hope this info helps.
