Is it possible to tighten these without the base turning?

One review said that he couldn't put these on because the base was spinning. Since I can't access the base through the hole in the outer wheel, how are we supposed to tighten these if the base isn't fixed in place? Thank you!

No it is not possible to tighten these valve extenders with out turning the base. They make these as a two piece design so it is hard to break the valve extension. Worst case scenario is you could take of the rear tire to install. Hope this info helps.
