According to the manufacturer, it is not a good idea to put the surge protector on the ground as it is water resistant but not waterproof, also some one could easily trip or run it over.
Can the surge guard lay flat on ground if pedestal outlet is low? Surge Guard 34830 Portable RV Surge Protector With LCD Display- 30 Amp
