The Dirt Devil 4941 Brown Inlet Door has a switch that is activated as the door is open or closed. Door is open the unit will turn on and as you close the door the unit will shut off.

Dirt Devil 4941 Fully-Automatic Inlet Valve - Brown
The Dirt Devil 4941 is a replacement inlet valve that will accommodate most Dirt Devil central vacuum hoses. The inlet door measures 4-3/8' tall and 2-3/4' wide, and has a 1-1/2' diameter opening.
