What is the distance from the floor to the front edge of the seat, and is there a bar at that edge?

We unfortunarely do not have the distance from the floor to the front edge of the seat. We just have the following dimensions:
Open: 42.1" L x 24" W x 35.8" H
Folding: 47.2" L x 24" W x 6.9" H
And yes, there is a bar across the edge.
