According to the manufacturer, You'd have to cut the jack's 7-way plug off. The red wire connects to the positive post of the on-board battery. The black wire is the ground and connects to the negative. We recommend that an inline fuse be installed on the positive wire. We use a 30A slow-blow glass fuse here, but you can use a 40A blade fuse (GM type fuse) you can get at an automotive shop. NOTE: Cutting the 7-way plug off voids your warranty.
