According to the manufacturer, Part number 1101422 is the motor and gearbox as a complete assembly and 1101428 is just the motor that comes off that assembly. Yes you could use 1101428 or 379147.
My Kwikee series 40 steps motor has a tag with 1101422 is that replaceable with the 1101428? Lippert 379147 Kwikee IMGL RV Step Motor & Screws kwikee
My 1999 steps were upgraded in the 2012. The steps are now jamming and it appears to be the plastic gear driven by the motor worm gear. The motor has a tag wit 1101422 and 214-1001. Will the 1101428 unit replace this and does it include the plastic gear portion?

Answer: We were unable to get a torque spec on this, but a good idea would be to use thread locker on the bolts and make them reasonably tight.
