According to the manufacturer, Part number 1101422 is the motor and gearbox as a complete assembly and 1101428 is just the motor that comes off that assembly. Yes you could use 1101428 or 379147.
My Kwikee series 40 steps motor has a tag with 1101422 is that replaceable with the 1101428? Lippert 379147 Kwikee Motor & Screws For IMGL RV Steps kwikee
My 1999 steps were upgraded in the 2012. The steps are now jamming and it appears to be the plastic gear driven by the motor worm gear. The motor has a tag wit 1101422 and 214-1001. Will the 1101428 unit replace this and does it include the plastic gear portion?

The Lippert 379147 Kwikee Motor & Screws For IMGL RV Steps is the replacement for most 2006 and newer coach models. Installation is simple by lining up the gears in the linkage arm and the gear on the post of the motor. Then tighten the 3 included bolts, plug it in, and secure the wiring.
