According to the manufacturer, The key will always be able to operate the paddle or dead bolt lock in case of the user forgetting the code or dead battery. The key is used for both. No two locks are keyed alike though.
Are the paddle and deadbolt keyed differently on the lock? Is the deadbolt key unique to the unit? Bauer 013-509 NE Electric Trailer Keyless Door Lock - Right Hand
