The plug is generally slightly smaller than the socket, but it should not slip out or lose connection. This one should have a tighter fit.
Are the big 7 pin plugs always the same size? RoadMaster 146-7 Flexo-Coil 7 Wire to 6 Wire Kit trailer coiled cables
My plug seems loose when I plug into the receptacle, the cap latches it in securely so that it won't slip out, but the plug just seems a bit small for the size of the receptacle. There is about 1/16 inch gap all the way around the plug, I would have thought it should be a pretty snug fit. As it is, it seems to be able to wiggle side to side quite a bit, and sometimes looses the connection. I would buy a replacement, but I need to be sure of getting a good fit. (the one I have was supplied by the selling dealer).
