While towing you want the tow bar to be as level as possible, especially if your RV has a long overhang. The longer the overhang the closer you want the tow bar to level. The closer you get to the 3" up or down it will limit the strength of the tow bar. We recommend using a 2" drop receiver, to help you get closer to being level. Below is links to 2" drop receivers. Also keep in mind that the Alpha tow bar towing capacity is only 6500 lbs. With the weight of your Jeep including your 35" tires and anything else you have or may add in the future, you want to be careful not to exceded that towing capacity. If you think you might, you may want to go with a different tow bar like the Avail or the Aventa LX, which are 10,000 lbs rated. Hope this helps and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
