How do I check my Air Force One breakaway plug to make sure it is working?

When I pull the breakaway plug manually, nothing happens. How can I check it to make sure it is working properly and will work when I truly nerd it's?

According to the manufacturer, to properly test your break away play First attach the Coach to your vehicle via quick connect airline supplied with the kit. Start your coach and build air pressure to max or Governor shut off around 120psi. Apply the brakes 3 full times holding for about 3 secs each time then releasing. This will insure system is working and also fill the small reserve tank in the operating unit in your towed vehicle. Remove the quick connect air line from the vehicle. After all these steps are completed pull the break away plug to check for operation, brake pedal should be depressed and stay until plug is inserted back into break away.
