How far can the 12" sensor be cut for 5" tanks? Do i need to get the 6" sensor?

Garnet 709-2P-1002 Seelevel II Tank Monitoring System does come with 12" sensors that can be cut down to 4 1-2" That would be 3 read segments left on the sender after you cut it down. Or if you would like to order the 6" sensors in this package please advise in your order notes for them to be sent instead. For tanks over 12" we do offer 16" sensors as replacements but these do cost Extra per 16" sensor.
