Hooked up to 50 amp, the power went out and the surge protector went blank. Why?

We are concerned that there was some sort of power flux and that it blew the surge protector. We read the information that came with the coach and it only provides installation information. Is there a reset button or should we just wait to plug into a different 50 amp and see if it works?
