I would check connections and make sure they are tight, also below is a link to the manual that may help. If you still need more help you can contact Thetford and they will need to ask you more questions, their contact number is 1-800-543-1219. Hope this helps you figure out the issue.

I ended up buying the Clean Dump Kt as the 5800 Sani-com kit is no longer available. But first I tried to clean, un-jam, or whatever the pumps impellor by making the pump run backwards, with water running backwards through pump.
1. Turn off pump, cut the red wire, the black wire.
2. Strip 1/2 inch off all 4 ends.
3. Push the hot end of black wire into the pump end red wire.
4. Push the hot end of red wire into pump end of black wire.
5. I bought a female to female garden hose connector and hooked up a garden hose to the sewer end of the sani-com hose and turned on the water faucet slightly, not fully.
6. Turned on Macerator switch...if you have a clear pipe between pump and rv tank you may see all kinds of “stuff” bubbling up back into your black or grey rv tanks....letting it run to clear, about 45 seconds.
6a. read below. (...after putting wires back to original, putting sani hose to the sewer, turning on pump, it worked again for a 10-15 seconds seconds....then jammed as “stuff” went right back again.
7. My mistake was after I did all above, and reversed back the wires turning the pump back on, the “stuff” all came back down and jammed the impellor again. Should have turn off pump, closed all valves, disconnect the pump, and connect a standard 3” sewer hose and dump black, then grey tanks, flushing out the bad “stuff”.
Note: A jammed impellor doesn’t necessarily mean it is not turning...it just can’t suck stuff anymore. If it does jam the sani-com circuit breaker will pop and stop motor. It will time out after a few moments and auto-reset. I did 1-6 above twice with same results....pump worked for a while then just made noise...nothing coming out hose to sewer.
Then I ordered the Clean Dump Kit, AND a 3” hose kit.
Will definitely flush out tanks BEFORE hooking up new macerator GOOD LUCK, friend.
