According to the manufacturer as long as the Broan-NuTone 6201 Heater is on when the power failure happens then yes it will automatically restart. They recommend that in the case of power failure to unplug.

I use a heater like this to keep heat in out travel Trailer during winter. We need a heater that is thermostatically controlled and will restart automatically in event of power failure.
