The fuse for the Thetford 70224 is to be user supplied and should located within 18" of the pump. The pumps have not changed in recent years. What I have found is that these units will clog over time and do need to be cleaned once or twice a year depending on usage. With the power disconnected you would remove the housing & impeller to clear the unit. This video shows how this is done --> https://youtu.be/AtyHJm5ajPc
