On the Vac Pan is a foot switch to switch the pan on and off. When shut off the suction will be full power to the hose. Here is a video that shows how the pan works.
Is there a valve to shut off vacume to the pan when using another port? Is suction power lost for the hose? Dirt Devil 7710W White Vac Pan RV Central Vacuum System
