The difference between the R3 & R6 Weight Distribution / Sway Control Hitches
R3 – The sway control is adjustable, but constant. By tightening or loosening the bolt, it will remain at that that setting until you loosen or tighten it again. Here is a link to the R3 manual: https://www.rvupgradestore.com/v/vspfiles/assets/pdf/R3-Manual.pdf
R6 – The sway control engages and disengages automatically, and depending on how far off-center your trailer is at any given time (while driving down the highway or not), it will adapt to those conditions real-time, giving exactly the amount of sway control that is needed.
