Walex CMDOBG Commando Black Holding Tank Cleaner works inside the tank and tank walls where the solution can sit and contact waste build up. The backflush line does not usually get exposed to the tank treatment. Commando cleans the tank, not the flush line.
To keep the backflush clean, flush periodically with plenty of fresh water, or you can run a vinegar solution through the flush inlet to remove mineral buildup.
