I use potassium chloride pellets at home to regenerate my softener. Would it be possible to use them by breaking them into smaller sizes to fill up the volume needed? Please do not include my email in the public post. Thanks.

Yes, you can regenerate the OTG4-DBLSOFT water softener using potassium chloride or table salt. Breaking pellets isn't necessary as they dissolve during the regeneration soak. Use the same fill volume as you would with salt, but plan on approx 10% more to match effectiveness.
Make sure the pellets fully dissolve in the warm water brine before pouring into the softener
Store the bag sealed and dry.
