The lid on Fantastic fans will stop once it hits the vent cover. They have motors that stop once they hit a set amount of resistance. This is how the lid knows to stop when it is closed as well.
What happens when Fan-Tastic 4000R fan opens and then hit a vent fan cover during opening? Fan-Tastic 4000R Reverse Vent Powered RV Vent Fans
Installing Camco vent cover, this won't allow for a complete opening of the power vent fan.
