For RV'ing, since every destination is different it is best find a good spot for the outdoor transmitter when you get to each location. This could be on the RV, such as velcro'd to an awning arm or the rear ladder, or it could be mouted to a stake that is inserted in the ground close to the RV but in a shaded spot to get the most accurate temperature. The transmitter has a 250+ range so finding the best spot is made much easier.
