If that distance is the measurement to the actual cutout, then the width of the cut out would need to be a 1/4" wider than the 4.88" shown which may have been what the manufacturer did.
I have a Theodore Bargman handle currently. Bauer EM AlSentis Electric RV Keyless Door Lock - Right Hand RV Door Hardware
The opening is the correct size but mine has a lesser distance from the opening to the edge of the door. Mine is only 3/4 in.
Other then that it looks the same, will yours replace it?
