This product is a receiver for the remotes and this product gets plugged in so it does not come with batteries only remotes come with batteries. If you currently have a 5 function receiver and it is set up to control the awning and slides then this receiver will replace and run both applications. If you have the 8 function receiver then you will need to replace it with the 8 function receiver. If you do not have a receiver you can set it up so the remote can work both applications.
