Remco 55AQUAJET-ARV Aquajet Variable Speed 5.3 GPM RV Water Pump
My coach originally had Shurflo 5900-0201 pump installed. It failed and was replaced by warranty. Second pump failed, rebuilt & reinstalled, failed again; bought replacement 5900-0211 and installed, failed again. Had rebuilt the previously failed pump and reinstalled and failed yet again. Five failures in 6 years. In all but the last case failure was because water somehow got past the diaphragm and into the motor. Shurflo finally sent a replacement 4048-153-E75. It delivers pulsing pressure as it shuts off and restarts at 2 or 3 second intervals. Your pump appears to be similar in design to the Shurflo 5900-0201. Before I jump to your pump, I'd like to know what kind of reliability to expect from your pump. Also would the Shurflo inlet strainer mate with your pump? Will new mounting holes be needed as your pumps footprint appears different? I'm tired of replacing pumps in a confined and difficult space.

Recently I purchased the Remco 55AQUAJET-ARV Aquajet RV Variable Speed Water Pump as my shurflo pump also had a failure due to water getting into the motor. My old shureflow pump was very loud and the flow rate was less than 1/2 the new pump. I installed a pair of Shurflow silencer hoses and relocated the pump to make it easier to get at if needed. The pump comes with a pair of threaded connectors that hook right up to my existing fittings. Overall I am very happy with my new variable speed setup as it makes my shower much more enjoyable.
