I have a Battery Tender Plus, if wanting
I have a Battery Tender Plus, if wanting to use it on my chassis battery is it necessary to unplug the positive or negative leads from the battery posts to avoid surges that may damage dash/radio equipment. I have a 50 receptacle along side my garage that I keep motortorhome plugged into. They maintain the house batteries fine but I noticed last wk on my monthly start up where I shut power off to plug, start my generator (which was fine) but when I went to start engine the battery barely turned it over. Ended up using the battery boost of the house batteries to start the engine. Is it okay to just hook up the Battery a tender to the post of the starting battery without having to do anything else? Thank you for you time. Robert T. Rtarsi@charter.net
