will this tow bar fit on a 2008 Honda Civic base plate #Bx 2243 as I require a ball mount attachment ? If not ,is there a pair of adapters that would make it ok to use to tow ? thanks ray

The BX4330 Acclaim Tow Bar will not work for you as it is too narrow. There is no adapter that you can get that will make it work however the BX7322 Adventurer Tow Bar will work for you. Refer to the link below to be directed to the part.
