Just purchased the kit. Have not installed it but a bit disappointed the valve stem caps supplied are just plastic and not metal. In the past on on an automobile, I had an internal valve stem core fail and blow through the open end of the valve stem, taking the plastic valve stem cap with it; had it been a metal valve stem cap (they come with an internal rubber gasket to seal it when screwed on), I bet the metal valve stem cap would have held in pressure. I intend to throw away the plastic valve stem caps (which are only good as dust covers) and install metal caps. In any case, my question has to do with water resistance of the sensor's battery cover. I know it is installed with a rubber O ring but has anyone found any water intrusion within their sensors? Does anyone recommend removing the sensors when the RV gets washed. Just curious. Thanks.
