The feet are technically not required. The spacers’ main purposes is to provide some space between the tank and the ground so that the sensor wouldn’t get crushed and so that there is enough room for the Bluetooth signal the sensor uses to communicate to escape the bottom of the tank. If there is plenty of space already you don’t need to worry about it.
It seems your spacers are older versions as Tank Check stopped making the rubber spacers some 2 years ago. Now they make them out of aluminum so they are much sturdier.
