Many other manufacturers for water pumps state that the decibel level is 60-68, the manufacturer for this pump said that it runs at 60-68 db as well. The noise that comes from the pump is also based on how well the pump is isolated from it's mounting location. Most of the noise you are hearing is eminating from the inlet and outlet hose/pipes. If you are using hard pipe connections you will receive much louder pounding and vibration. Flexible hose dampeners are recommended on both sides of the bump to limit that pounding. A sound deadening material under the pump prior to installation will also help absorbs noise that the rubber mounts don't catch.
